Net Success Group LimitedYou might be wondering how I ended up in this situation.
I started programming in 1982 and have moved between technical work and marketing ever since. Along the way I built an Amazon brand called Auphonix, selling pop filters and shock mounts for desktop microphones, and then sold the business for an eye-watering amount of money.
A huge part of my success was having automation and systems for everything from ads to shipping and inventory management. Allowing me to build a one-person business from nothing.
These days I have a cleaning company in Wellington, an AI & automation consultancy, and I partner with other companies building their modern automation tech stack. I’m also helping build a local community newsletter publishing business.
Doing all of that, I learned that every business runs the same way underneath. And every business can be improved through better-connected systems.
Once you can see the systems and processes inside one, you can see them inside all of them. A cleaning company and a software company turn out to be the same machine with different parts.
Am I mad for doing all of the above? Maybe.
